You’re in Eastleigh. Why would I use you over someone in Portsmouth?
Sharing a postcode doesn’t change the work on a website. What matters more is that you deal with the people who build it, and with us you do. If you want someone who’ll come to your premises, pick somebody in Portsmouth. If you want the site done properly for a flat monthly fee, the distance won’t make much difference.
We’re a takeaway. Does this get us off Just Eat?
Not completely, and we won’t pretend it does. The apps bring you people who’ve never heard of you, which is worth something. Your own site means you stop paying commission on the regulars who already know your name. A sensible approach is to run both and see how the split changes over time.
What does the food ordering handle?
Collection orders. The menu handles sizes, meal deals, extras and swaps, and the order alerts are set up so one doesn’t slip past you in a Friday rush. Card payments go into your own Stripe account at 1.9% + 30p. That’s a processing fee rather than a cut of the order.
Portsmouth is competitive. Will I actually rank?
That depends on what you do. Nobody wins “takeaway Portsmouth” quickly, but “Turkish barber Fratton” or “Lebanese Southsea” is a much smaller field. We build the page around searches you have a realistic chance with and get your Google listing in order. We can’t promise a position, and anyone promising you top spot for the big search is guessing.
