onetap trade Southampton · Hampshire

Trade website design in Southampton for plumbers, builders and electricians.

Southampton has a lot of trades going after the same searches, and many of them rely on a directory listing or a Facebook page. I'll build you a proper site on your own domain, with quote requests coming straight to your phone and invoices you can send from the van. It's £15 a month with no setup fee, and I'm just up the road in Eastleigh.

01 / On the site

Getting found in a busy city.

In a city this size the general searches are crowded. The site is set up to win the more specific ones, where a small firm has a real chance.

01

The parts of the city you cover

Shirley, Bitterne, Woolston, Portswood. If you only want work on one side of the Itchen, the site says so, and you get fewer calls from postcodes you don't cover.

02

A page for each main service

A page about boiler installs is easier to find than one page that says “all plumbing work”. I split out your main services so each one can turn up in its own searches.

03

Quick on a phone

Most people searching for a trade are on mobile data. The sites are hand-coded and light, so they load quickly in a car park or on a bus.

04

Details that match your Google profile

The site uses exactly the same name, address and phone number as your Google Business Profile. Google checks that the two agree.

05

A quote form on every page

Someone who's just read about your kitchen fitting shouldn't have to hunt for a way to get a price. The form is on every page and sends straight to your phone.

06

Reviews people can see

Your Google reviews appear on the site, so people can read them without leaving to look you up.

02 / Behind the site

Once the work comes in.

Behind the site is a hub for the rest of the job. It's all part of the £15 Trades plan.

Price it the same day.

Reply to a quote request from your phone with a priced quote on your own letterhead.

See what's outstanding.

Each job moves from quoted to booked to done to paid, in one list you can check while you're waiting at the merchant's counter.

Paid by bank transfer.

Each invoice has a payment link. The fee is capped at £5.50, so a £4,000 kitchen costs no more to collect than that.

No chasing by text.

Unpaid invoices get reminders sent automatically, and you can see who's paid at a glance.

It also includes everything in the Sites plan: the website, domain, hosting, SSL, backups and support. Full Trades plan →

Trade sites I've built.

Neither of these is in Southampton, but a Southampton firm would get the same Trades setup.

05 / FAQ

What Southampton trades ask.

Mostly about competition, lead sites and cost.

There are hundreds of plumbers in Southampton. Can I still get found?
For “plumber Southampton” on its own it's hard, and I won't pretend otherwise. Searches get easier the more specific they are. “Boiler repair Bitterne” or “emergency electrician Shirley” have far fewer sites competing, and a site with a page for each main service that names the areas you work in has a fair chance at those.
I get leads from MyBuilder and Rated People. Is a site worth it on top?
Those sites charge you for leads that several other trades are chasing too. Someone who finds your own site is only looking at you. You don't have to drop the lead sites straight away. Keep an eye on where your work comes from and decide from there.
Do I need a separate invoicing app?
Not for day-to-day jobs. Quotes, jobs and invoices all live in the hub that comes with the Trades plan. If you use accounting software for your tax return, you can carry on using it for that.
What does it cost?
£15 a month with no setup fee. That covers the site, domain, hosting, SSL, backups and a couple of content updates a month. The only other cost is the fee on invoices paid online, which is capped at £5.50 each.
Can the site match my van and my logo?
Yes. Send me your logo, or a photo of the van if that's all you've got, and the site will use the same colours.
How long is the contract?
There isn't one. It's monthly and you can cancel whenever you like. If you leave, the domain goes with you.
