How much does a website cost in Southampton?
Southampton studios often quote somewhere between £800 and £3,000 up front for a small-business site, then charge separately for hosting and for changes. We charge £10 a month for a website with hosting, domain and SSL included, or £15 a month if you need booking, quoting, invoicing, a shop or food ordering with it. There’s nothing to pay up front.
What’s the catch at £10 a month?
There isn’t a hidden one, but there is a trade-off you should know about. It’s a monthly service rather than a one-off purchase, so you’re paying for the site to be hosted, kept secure and kept up to date instead of buying a file and walking away. The domain is yours, and we’ll transfer it free if you ever leave, so you aren’t locked in.
You’re based in Eastleigh. Does that matter?
Not really. We’re about five miles up the road, and the work is all done over WhatsApp and email anyway, so it makes no difference whether you’re in Shirley, Portswood or Bitterne. Southampton is well within our patch.
Will I rank for “… in Southampton”?
Southampton is competitive, and a lot depends on your trade. “Plumber Southampton” is a fight. “Turkish barber Portswood” is much less of one. We build the page properly, aim it at the phrases you can realistically win, and help get your Google Business Profile in order. What we won’t do is promise you the top spot.
Can you move my existing site over?
Yes. We rebuild it, keep your existing page addresses so you don’t lose ranking, point the domain across and do the switch out of hours, so the changeover doesn’t happen while you’re trading.
Do I need the £15 plan?
Only if you want the tools. If you just need a proper website that gets people ringing you, the £10 plan is the one. Salons and barbers usually want booking, trades want quoting and invoicing, takeaways want ordering and shops want a checkout, and those are on the £15 plans. You can move up whenever you like, and switching is free.
