01 / What you get

Built for the chair.

A proper website, and then the six things that save you an evening a week.

01

Booking around the clock

Treatment, date, time, done. They get a confirmation, you get a notification, and nobody has to answer a DM at half ten at night.

02

Deposits that stick

Take the full amount, a fixed deposit or a percentage. Your call, per treatment. Money lands in your own Stripe account, not ours.

03

Reminders the day before

Sent automatically by text and email. This is the single cheapest thing you can do about no-shows.

04

Add-ons at the booking

Let them add a treatment, a massage or a take-home product while they’re already checking out. Average ticket goes up without you asking.

05

The diary on your phone

Today, tomorrow, next week. Move an appointment with a tap, block out a lunch or the school run in seconds.

06

Gift vouchers

Sold from your own site. Christmas and Mother’s Day tend to pay for the year.

Everything in the Sites plan comes with it, website, domain, hosting, SSL, backups, support. Full Beauty plan →

02 / The trade-off

We’re not the cheapest per booking.

If you only count the card fee, a marketplace usually wins. Here’s the argument for doing it your own way anyway.

You own the client.

On a marketplace, the client who found you gets marketed to by the platform, sometimes for the salon two streets over. On your own site they’re just yours.

Nobody outbids you.

You can’t pay to rank above yourself on your own website. No promoted competitors sitting above your name.

One flat fee.

£15 a month whether you take ten bookings or two hundred. Card fee only applies when someone actually pays online.

It builds something.

Every booking through your own domain is a search signal that belongs to you. Marketplace traffic builds their brand, not yours.

03 / Local work

A beauty business in Eastleigh.

The Glow Hut runs exactly this setup: her own site, her own domain, deposits taken at the booking.

The Glow Hut

Luxury spray tans · Eastleigh

Cream and bronze brand, treatments laid out plainly, and a booking flow that takes a deposit before the slot is held. She stopped negotiating times over Instagram DMs and started waking up to a filled-in diary. £15 a month on the Beauty plan.

05 / FAQ

Salon questions, answered straight.

Including the Fresha question, answered without the sales gloss.

How is this different from Fresha or Treatwell?
Honestly? Fresha’s card fee is lower than ours per transaction, and their subscription is free, we’re not going to pretend otherwise. The difference is what you’re building. On a marketplace your page sits next to your competitors, your clients get the platform’s newsletters, and the traffic belongs to them. Here the site is yours, on your domain, under your brand, and the client is your client. Treatwell is a different thing again. They can take a large commission on new clients on top of a subscription.
What are the card fees exactly?
When a client pays online it’s 1.9% + 30p per transaction, and that’s the whole fee. There’s no separate Stripe bill on top. Free bookings and anything you take in the chair cost nothing. The money goes into your own Stripe account and lands in your bank the next working day.
Can I take a deposit instead of the full amount?
Yes, and for most salons that’s the right setting. You choose per service: full payment, a fixed deposit, a percentage, or nothing at all. A £10 deposit is usually enough to stop the casual no-show without putting people off booking.
What actually happens to no-shows?
Two things help. A deposit gives someone a reason to turn up or to cancel in time, and automatic reminders the day before catch the ones who genuinely forgot. Salons generally see no-shows drop a long way once both are on, but it depends on your clientele, and we’re not going to quote you a percentage we can’t stand behind.
I’m already on Fresha, can I move without losing my diary?
You can run both for a while, which is what we’d suggest. Keep taking marketplace bookings while your own site builds up, and point your regulars at your own booking page. They’re the ones you were paying commission on anyway. Most people wind the marketplace down once their own bookings overtake it.
Do you cover mobile therapists?
Yes. If you travel to clients we set the site up around your area rather than a salon address, and the booking form can ask for a postcode so you’re not driving to Winchester for a £20 appointment.
What if I only do one or two treatments?
That’s fine and often better. A tight site that says exactly what you do, in Eastleigh, converts better than a long menu. Add-ons let you bolt extras onto a booking without cluttering the main list.
