These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("Client", "you") and OneTapWeb ("we", "us", "our"). By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Overview

OneTapWeb provides the following services to local businesses across the United Kingdom:

  • Website design and development — custom-built, responsive websites tailored to your business.
  • Web hosting — fast, secure hosting with SSL certificates, regular backups, and security monitoring.
  • Domain registration — we register and manage a domain name on your behalf as part of your subscription.
  • Ongoing maintenance — content updates, technical support, and continued management of your website.
  • Optional extras — SEO, booking systems, analytics, and payment integrations depending on your plan tier.

The specific features included in your service depend on the plan you select (Starter, Professional, or Premium). Full plan details are available on our website.

2. Domain Registration & Ownership

All domain names registered as part of your OneTapWeb subscription are purchased, owned, and managed by OneTapWeb — not the Client.

When we set up your website, we register a domain name on your behalf. This domain remains the property of OneTapWeb for the duration of your subscription. We are responsible for:

  • Registering the domain with an accredited registrar
  • Renewing the domain to prevent expiry
  • Managing DNS records and technical configuration
  • Ensuring the domain points to your live website

You may not transfer, sell, or modify the domain registration independently while it is managed by OneTapWeb.

3. Domain Transfer on Cancellation

If you cancel your subscription and wish to retain the domain name, you may request a domain transfer. The following conditions apply:

  • You must submit a written request (by email) within 30 days of your cancellation taking effect.
  • An administration and transfer fee may apply. We will confirm the fee before processing.
  • The transfer will be initiated once any outstanding invoices and the transfer fee have been paid in full.
  • We will provide the domain authorisation code and unlock the domain for transfer to your chosen registrar.
  • Transfers typically complete within 5–7 working days, depending on the receiving registrar.

If no transfer request is made within 30 days of cancellation, OneTapWeb reserves the right to release, re-use, or let the domain expire at our discretion.

4. Pricing & Domain Costs

Our standard pricing is published on our website and includes a one-off setup fee and a recurring monthly subscription fee. However:

Prices are subject to the availability and cost of the desired domain name. Premium, previously registered, or high-demand domain names may incur additional costs.

  • Standard domain names (e.g. yourbusiness.co.uk) are included in your plan at no extra cost.
  • If your preferred domain is classified as a premium domain by the registrar, or requires purchase from a third party, we will inform you of any additional cost before proceeding.
  • OneTapWeb reserves the right to adjust pricing to reflect changes in domain registration costs, hosting costs, or other third-party fees. You will be given at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
  • We will always seek your approval before incurring any cost beyond the agreed plan price.

5. Subscription & Payment

Your OneTapWeb service operates on a monthly rolling subscription. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Recurring monthly payments

  • Your monthly subscription fee is collected automatically via Stripe recurring billing on the same date each month.
  • When you sign up, you will be asked to provide a payment method (debit card, credit card, or other method supported by Stripe). This payment method will be stored securely by Stripe and charged each billing cycle.
  • Stripe may retry failed payments automatically. If a payment cannot be collected after Stripe's retry attempts, we will contact you. If the balance remains outstanding for more than 14 days, we reserve the right to suspend your website until payment is resolved.
  • You can update your payment method at any time via the secure payment link we provide.

One-off payments

  • Setup fees, domain transfer fees, add-on services, and any other one-off charges are invoiced separately and collected via Stripe as a single payment.
  • One-off invoices are payable on receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Your setup fee is payable before work begins on your website.

Payment security

OneTapWeb does not store your card details. All payment information is held and processed by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS Level 1 standards. For more information, see Stripe's Privacy Policy.

There are no long-term contracts. You are never locked in and can cancel at any time (see Section 6).

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing us at hello@onetapweb.co.uk. The following terms apply:

  • A minimum of 30 days' written notice is required.
  • Once cancellation is confirmed, we will cancel your Stripe recurring subscription. No further automatic payments will be taken after the current billing period ends.
  • Your website will remain live until the end of the current billing period after the notice period has elapsed.
  • Setup fees and other one-off payments are non-refundable.
  • If you wish to keep your domain, see Section 3 (Domain Transfer on Cancellation).

7. Content & Intellectual Property

Your content

You retain full ownership of all content you provide to us, including but not limited to text, photographs, logos, menus, and branding materials. You grant OneTapWeb a licence to use this content solely for the purpose of building and maintaining your website.

Our work

You are granted a non-exclusive licence to use the website design for the duration of your active subscription. This licence ends upon cancellation.

Third-party assets

Where we use stock imagery, icon libraries, fonts, or other third-party assets, these are subject to their respective licences. We will ensure all assets used are properly licensed for your website.

8. Limitation of Liability

OneTapWeb provides its services on an "as is" basis. While we take every reasonable step to ensure your website is secure, fast, and available, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.

  • OneTapWeb shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services.
  • Our total liability in any matter arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not responsible for losses caused by factors outside our control, including but not limited to: third-party hosting outages, domain registrar issues, cyberattacks, or force majeure events.
  • We are not liable for any loss of business, revenue, or profit resulting from website downtime, however caused.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Changes to These Terms

OneTapWeb may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices.

  • We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any material changes, by email or via our website.
  • Your continued use of our services after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.
  • If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may cancel your subscription in accordance with Section 6.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
